Everyone is born with creativity. But those people who appear to be super creative have a secret. They know that creativity has to be developed and exercised to come easily. I am on a quest to immerse myself in creativity of all kinds. I hope you will join me!

 Certainly I am not the only creative who gets bogged down at times. Recently, I did a big project, strictly for money. It was long and boring. It killed my creativity and I have not wanted to do anything since. Not liking that feeling of being in creative limbo, I put aside work this afternoon and did a mindless, but fun project, hoping it would jump start me.


I got out the glitter and did a Girl World Excavation to find trinkety kinds of things. Then I attached them to cell phone covers. I have rhinestones, sequins, old jewelry, buttons, sew on patches, mirrors, and who knows what else on them.


Click on the pics to see the trinkety goodness up close. I put in a movie and glued for a couple hours. It was a fun afternoon.


A big pile of excavation mess and 10 cool phone covers later, I might be feeling a little more interested in creating. Time will tell.

Don't let your Vitamin C get killed like I did!!!

To make one, you need:

• round plastic buttons with a molded lip around the edge...these are from a BIG Bag of Buttons from Blumenthal Lansing 
•  a notebook
• a scrap of fabric in a rectangle as tall as the notebook
• Dimensional Magic
• seed beads, choose colors to go with the buttons
• hot glue gun and glue

 Do this:
1. Glue the fabric rectangle to the notebook.

 2. Glue the buttons to cover the fabric rectangle. Make sure to plug up the buttonholes with glue so the dimensional magic does not soak down into the fabric when applied.

 3.  Fill the button with dimensional magic.

 4.  Pour seed beads into the button frame while the dimensional magic is wet.
