Fashion Week Has Nothing On Us
by Kim
We know that New York Fashion week is in full swing, but check out the fall shoe fashions here. These are table decorations done by Lee Anne, the Women's Ministries Director at CBC. Women's fall Bible studies started this morning, and she rose to the decorating challenge.
One is more fabulous than the last.
It seems that we here at CBC are all about encouraging your walk with God and we symbolize that with shoes. What else? We are also environmentally responsible and we recycle and restyle. These shoes are on their third incarnation.
Originally, they were purchased at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. I needed 50 pair and S.A. made them affordable.
I glittered them all hot pink. All. 50. Pair. It was inspired.
After that, we used some of them as table decorations for a banquet. Read more here.
We sure got our 50 cents out of those pairs of shoes! What will be next for the shoes?
Take your Vitamin G(litter)

Table Dec on the Cheep
by Kim
Wonder Woman's Son #3 is getting married tomorrow. Since she has had a busy week and the bride and groom could not be more adorable if they tried (they are both super creatives), I volunteered to decorate for rehearsal dinner.
Trying not to spend money, I used what was left of the tableware from the bridal shower. Just had to supplement a bit. So, everything is in the wedding colors. Perfect.
For the centerpieces, I used a square of green fabric (Free because it was also from the bridal shower), a vase from the Dollar Store ($1), some sticks I cut off a tree in my yard (free!), and some paper birds (also free, paper in my stash).
I cut the birds double, on the fold. They are sort of a cross between a bird and a butterfly. A few hole punches for texture and there you have it. I stuck them to the branches with glue dots.
Wishing for the bluebird of happiness to live with you kids always!
Oh yeah, and some Vitamin C!
